Imani Children Outreach

About Us

Imani Children Outreach (Imani Children) is a youth-focused charity dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for children and young people from ethnic minority backgrounds.
Although currently a non-registered charity, our mission is clear:

  • To build and restore self-esteem in every child we support.
  • To help young people integrate into the wider community.
  • To provide a safe space for children to express their worries and fears.

Our Mission

  • Promoting inclusivity and equality.
  • Raising awareness about issues that affect young people, such as bullying and discrimination.
  • Encouraging positive identity and self-worth.

What We Do

We deliver activities and campaigns that empower young people and strengthen communities:

  • Anti-Bullying & Discrimination Awareness
Organising campaigns to highlight the impact of bullying and racial discrimination, while linking victims with trusted agencies and support groups.
  • Cultural & Leisure Activities
Hosting events, workshops, and activities that promote both physical and mental wellbeing, while encouraging cultural expression and appreciation.
  • Luncheon Clubs
Creating safe social spaces for young people to connect, share experiences, and build supportive friendships.

Our partnerships

We are grateful for the generosity and partnerships that make our work possible.

  • National Lottery Community Fund
Imani Children has benefited greatly from the National Lottery Community Fund, which remains our main funder. Their support allows us to continue running programmes that empower and uplift young people.
  • Faith Dimensions Ministries (Milton Keynes)
We are grateful for their generous food donations and for partnering with us during our 2024 feeding programme. Their commitment has helped us reach more families in need

News & Projects

2024 Feeding Programme – Hockwell Ring Community Centre

From March to September 2024, Imani Children successfully ran a 6-month food bank programme at the Hockwell Ring Community Centre.

This initiative was proudly funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and supported by our partners. The programme provided essential food/ toiletry supplies and hot meals to families in need, helping to ease financial pressures and ensure young people had access to nutritious meals.

The project not only addressed food insecurity but also created a space for community connection, support, and hope.

Why Imani Children Matters

Many young people from ethnic minority backgrounds face unique challenges. At Imani Children, we are here to stand with them—listening, supporting, and giving them the tools to grow with confidence, resilience, and hope.
